Best Practice
The IPA and ISBA offer a wealth of best practice advice and guidelines to their members. Below are the joint offerings, as well as links to the individual sites for members to access services:
IPA – information available to agencies:–
The IPA Pitch Pack is designed to be a step-by-step guide to creating a more efficient pitch process for both clients and agencies. The pack contains:
- a questionnaire for clients which will help agencies communicate best practice to the client
- a non disclosure agreement that imposes a mutual obligation on the parties not to disclose information to any third party
- post-pitch evaluation forms to enable agencies to get constructive feedback on the process
- Intellectual Property Rights Database
The IPA also offers a pitch protection service, IPA/ISBA joint NDA, Client/agency contacts, Request for information (RFI) templates and a tender alerts service.

ISBA has a host of useful information we use to help our members manage the pitch process from a document designed to stimulate thought on the type of agency required, to creds, chemistry and pitch evaluation systems and a tailored search and selection service – all designed to help clients navigate the pitch process.
